Pilchuck Pointe Kracken
“Kracken”
Kracken was another addition we were excited to have the opportunity to bring in from Shante at Pilchuck Pointe in Washington. Shante is who we originally bought Happy and Emmy from, and she had retained Kracken as her keeper doe out of Emmy. Since Shante was getting out of goats, she offered Kracken to us and we jumped at the chance! Emmy hasn’t produced a doe for us so we were thrilled to have the option to bring in a daughter of hers. Kracken’s sire is Whispering Willow Lucky Clover, the same buck who sired Purple Rain at Soaring Heart’s Farm. Kracken came to us with her single buckling at about three weeks fresh, and she is a dream to milk. She has excellent teat size and placement. Because she had a single, and moved during early lactation, we feel that we didn’t really see her full potential this year. We’re excited to see her freshen in the spring (hopefully with more than one). This girl is her mama’s twin in both structure and personality! She has incredible depth of body and amazing length and width.
